Samantha finished her GCSEs at Drumglass High School and continued her education there for a further two years completing a GNVQ Advanced in Business, Leisure and Tourism in 1996. She then continued to develop her business skills by completing a NVQ in Business Administration in 1997 and a NVQ in Information Technology in 1998.
She began work in the role of secretary/receptionist in a busy accountancy firm in September 1997, developing skills in the accountancy field as well as administration and office management.
She began her position as receptionist at Back on Track Physiotherapy in July 2013. She enjoys working in a friendly environment where she knows that her job helps people who are in pain receive much needed treatment to enable them to get back to normal life.
Joanna is a Stott Pilates certified instructor. STOTT PILATES instructor training is unparalleled in the industry for its thoroughness and quality and is often called the "Ivy League" of Pilates education. This has led to recognition from a host of high-level industry bodies all over the world, including The Register of Exercise Professionals.
This qualification, coupled with Joanna's anatomical and physiological knowledge gleaned from a degree in Dentistry (in which she qualified with Honours and finished top of her academic year), equip her excellently to teach safely and effectively.
Having competed at European, World and Commonwealth level in the sport of athletics, she has had huge exposure to Exercise Science and Rehabilitation and has developed an in-depth knowledge as to how the body moves, including the benefits of Pilates.
Joanna is passionate about using Pilates to help people be the best version of themselves, whether that be in recovering from an injury, relieving general aches and pains, performing daily tasks with greater ease or revitalising mind and body after a stressful day.
Having worked as a dietitian for over 15 years, Vanessa has a wealth of experience and has developed an in-depth knowledge in various aspects of nutrition.
She has worked with people from all backgrounds and walks of life through her work, both within the NHS, and in a private setting. She also worked with the Sports Institute Northern Ireland, advising our country's most elite athletes on their nutritional needs and their effect on maximising performance.
We are delighted to have someone of Vanessa's experience and expertise as part of the Back on Track team, allowing us to offer a service that delivers safe, factual dietary advice, tailored to the individual requirements of our clients.
